Description

Magnetite Blue with contrasting Velour Parchment interior seems to best suit the Mercedes 450 SEL 6.9

This car came to Cariconics with little history; however, it was evident that apart from the slightly faded paintwork, this R116 was bodily very sound and its interior gave us further confidence that the 95,000KM seemed to be in keeping with the cars overall condition.

Over the last 2 years, the car has undergone a thorough recommissioning which has included a glass out respray, new front windscreen, front shock absorbers, rebuilt steering box, front crankshaft oil seal, new hoses and belts, Bosch replacement fuel metering unit and injectors, reconditioned starter motor.

All fluids have been changed and the fuel injection has been set up by John Lamb, who is one of the most respected and knowledgeable specialist in tuning these early fuel injected engines.

This magnificent 6.9 was 1st registered from Mercedes as a Diplomat / NATO vehicle and came to the UK early on in its life.
