A two owner from new example of arguably the most iconic British sports car ever made. This Left-hand drive Jaguar E-type series 2 was originally delivered to its first owner, an American service man who was on tour in Germany in 1968 via the dealer Peter Linder. Once his tour in Germany had concluded the he took the car back to Birmingham in Alabama until he sold it to the second and current owner in 1997. Since this time, the car has covered a mere 3,000 miles yet has been serviced and Mot’d every year.
This E-type is without doubt one of the most complete and original examples left in existence and is ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.
As an aside, the car was originally factory ordered with a Limited-Slip differential.
It is also currently fitted with its original ‘short’ American rear axle ratio, however by separate negotiation the current owner has a brand new UK spec rear axle ratio that can be fitted should the next owner desire.
