Built to a very high standard by a skilled aluminium fabricator and engineer, this Tornado GT40 has wonderful attention to detail, often missing from recreations. This can be seen when you open the front and rear clams to reveal the formed polished aluminium.
Bespoke double wishbones, reversed A-frames with top link and radious fitted Protech coilovers, allows space for the period correct Ford 302 engine.
The engine is Ford 302 Gurney-Weslake V8 developing a very unstressed 355 BHP with road-biased camshafts.
Engine management is via a MSD ignition with twin fuel pumps feeding four Dellorto 45mm twin downdraft carburettors which have recently been setup by renowned specialist, John Lamb.
The exhaust system includes an oversized cross over manifold and comes with two sets of silencers, one noisy and one quiet.
